Eligibility
Children who reside in Florida and who turn four years
of age on or before September 1st are eligible for either
the school year VPK program or for the upcoming summer
VPK program, which is the summer just before the child
enters kindergarten; VPK eligible children enter kindergarten
in August, immediately after they participate in either
the school year VPK program or the summer VPK program.
The state only allows families to enroll children in
one VPK program.
