In order to maximize learning and healthy
development, we provide our children with a safe, nurturing,
inclusive and stimulating child-centered environment.
Within the confines of our safe and intellectually enticing
setting, we strive to meet the individual needs of all
children by supporting their learning in a developmentally
appropriate manner that enables all children to reach
their social, emotional, physical, and cognitive potentials.
We believe children benefit most from
a balanced approach to learning. In an effort to promote
the healthy development of the whole child, we ensure
that children have opportunities each day to engage
in free choice play and other creative activities as
well as teacher-directed, more structured learning experiences.
During free-play time learning experiences, young children
learn to use their imagination and learn to interact
with their peers in socially acceptable ways. More importantly,
these activities promote oral language development,
an essential aspect of overall literacy development.
Our academic curriculum provides children with developmentally
appropriate opportunities for learning the pre-reading,
pre-writing, and pre-math skills necessary for success
in kindergarten and first grade.
